Tombolo x Le Sirenuse

Tombolo is back! Our first collaboration imbued Tombolo's cheeky resortwear with the spirit and most prominent iconography of Le Sirenuse. For our second collaboration, we drew back the proverbial curtains of the hotel a little bit farther to focus on three more intimate vignettes.

The first is Paolo Sandulli, an artist who encapsulates the spirit of the Amalfi coastline and is a longtime friend of Le Sirenuse's owners, the Sersales. He lives and paints in a medieval tower built into the cliffs of nearby Praiano. Le Sirenuse and Tombolo commissioned a painting by Sandulli that was shipped to New York to be digitally deconstructed and then pieced back together into a carefully engineered shirt design. The shirt derived from Sandulli's painting channels the ancient energies of the Italian southern coastline into a joyous and whimsical design.

The second is Limoncello, a digestivo that is synonymous with the Amalfi Coast. Lemon trees have been grown on the steep dry-stone-walled terraces of the Amalfi coast for a thousand years. It is no surprise that Le Sirenuse has distilled its own Limoncello in years past. Together, we made a small capsule of matching sets that are the perfect outfit for getting very drunk on Limoncello.

Finally, the third vignette is Corsa, an homage to the two beautiful wooden boats that serve the guests of the hotel: a charming fishing boat called the Sant’Antonio and a sporty 1972 Riva Aquarama called Five and Fifty, which celebrates its 50th birthday this year. The Corsa capsule imagines a Mediterranean speedboat race and all of the associated ephemera including sponsor badges and racing stripes.
